New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi walked out of the Parliamentary Defense Committee on Wednesday. It is being told that in front of the Defense Committee, Rahul Gandhi had demanded to discuss other issues of the border including Doklam, but his demand was rejected. After which other Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi came out of the Defense Committee meeting.
According to the information, Rahul Gandhi and other Congress MPs had demanded to discuss the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in front of the Defense Committee, but the chairman of the committee turned down their demand. After which Rahul got up from the meeting with Congress MPs and left.
Earlier in December last year, Rahul Gandhi had walked out of the Defense Committee meeting. At that time the Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat was giving information about the defense uniform to the committee. Then Rahul interrupted them and said that what is our preparation in Ladakh? What is our strategy against China? This should be discussed. After this, when the chairman of the committee, Jual Oram, stopped Rahul from speaking in the middle, Rahul left the meeting. Many Congress MPs also left with him. Later, he wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, saying that he was not allowed to speak in the meeting, which is non-democratic and a violation of his rights.
