Dehradun: Uttarakhand MLA Dhan Singh Rawat can be elected as the new Chief Minister of the state by the BJP. Sources gave this information on Tuesday. Dhan Singh arrived in Dehradun this afternoon from a private helicopter a few hours before Trivendra Singh Rawat was resigned as Chief Minister. 50-year-old Dhan Singh Rawat is a minister in the current Uttarakhand government, he is an MLA from the Srinagar assembly seat in Pauri district. Significantly, 60-year-old Trivendra Singh Rawat submitted his resignation to Governor Baby Rani Maurya today.
Talking to reporters, Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the party has collectively decided that someone else should now take over the leadership of the state. If Dhan Singh becomes the new CM, then it would be considered as an increase in the number of leaders associated with the ideology of the National Self-Service Association (RSS) in the BJP. Dhan Singh Rawat holds a master’s degree in history and political science, not only is he also a PhD in political science.
