New Delhi. This has been discussed in many meetings of the Congress party, concern has also been expressed, yet the party is not able to get rid of its general secretary culture. Everywhere the Congress General Secretary or Secretary in charge has been the cause of the party’s problems. But the Congress high command does not have to consider it. The traditions that have been in place for decades have continued to prevail. If the state Congress leaders of Delhi opened a front against the party general secretary in-charge PC Chacko, then a question has been raised on this.
Sandeep Dixit, son of former Chief Minister late Sheila Dixit, has written a letter, in which he has also told PC Chacko one of the immediate reasons for his mother’s demise. Chacko and Sheila Dixit had a dispute just before Dhyan’s death. Sheila Dixit was then the state president of Delhi. He dissolved all the block committees of Delhi after meeting Sonia Gandhi, but the next day Chacko restored him. It can only be in Congress that the decision of the state president associated with the organization changes the charge. The in-charge can give advice and suggestions, but the final decision is made by the state president. But Chaco shed the opposite Ganges. As a result, the veteran leaders of Delhi – Mangtaram Singhal, Ramakant Goswami, Kiran Walia, etc. have opposed them by holding press conferences.
This is not the only case of party troubles caused by the general secretaries. In Maharashtra, Sanjay Nirupam has opened a front against the party’s general secretary and in-charge Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge, who is in charge of Maharashtra State President and President of Mumbai Regional Congress, is taking the decision. Recently, a fierce battle broke out in the Jharkhand Congress and all the veteran leaders of the party – Subodh Kant Sahay, Sukhdev Bhagat etc., targeted RPN Singh in-charge. Former state president Dr. Ajay Kumar, who left the party, also had a complaint with him.
The dispute between the state president Kamal Nath and the in-charge Deepak Babaria started during the last election in Madhya Pradesh ended only after Kamal Nath became the chief minister. In fact, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi only listen to him after being appointed incharge in Congress. State leaders who make good relations with the in-charge using any method, they are only listened to in the organization and their opponents are dealt with.
