Lucknow: In Yogi Govt 2.0, the administration is on an action spree against corrupt and negligent officers. At the same time, the government has started tightening its noose on the liquor mafia as well after taking on the land mafia by bulldozing their illegal constructions. Something similar was seen in Pratapgarh. Here 14 properties of a notorious liquor mafia were confiscated by the police administration. According to the information, the police have seized property worth Rs 7 crore of liquor mafia Sanjay Singh alias Guddu.

During this, the Police seized three luxurious bungalows of Sanjay’s Pratapgarh located at Kunda, Balipur and Lucknow. Along with this, a luxury car and several bighas of farmland have also been confiscated by the police.

It is worth noting that under the Gangster Act, the SP had submitted the report of the entire case to the DM. After which the DM had issued an order to attach a total of 14 properties. After which the police, who arrived with the magistrate on Friday afternoon, started the attachment process along with Munadi, then there was a stir in the area.

Liquor worth 14 crores was seized

According to the information, during the Panchayat elections on April 9, 2021, three big factories of illicit liquor were caught in the Kunda area. The cost of illicit liquor was said to be around Rs 14 crore. After this, the police took gangster action against Guddu Singh by registering a case against many accused including liquor mafia Guddu Singh and Sudhakar in more than half a dozen sections.

Guddu, who was absconding after this action of the police, was scared. Later he surrendered in the court fearing the police and went to jail. Guddu is still detained in Pratapgarh jail. On the whole matter, SP Satpal Antil said that 14 properties of the liquor mafia have been confiscated while attaching, the SP said that action will be taken against the liquor mafia within a month.

This time Yogi doesn’t want to spare any illegal and corrupt activity in his tenure. In order to reinstate his image as a powerful administrator, the Yogi government started to take on all the illegal activities in the state.
