A hotel was the scene of the brutal murder of Divya Pahuja, a model from Gurugram. She was a person of interest in the Mumbai case involving the alleged false police encounter that resulted in the criminal’s death. Bail was given to her.
Five attackers shot Divya Pahuja in the head at a hotel on Tuesday night. Authorities in Gurugram detained three individuals as they were getting ready to dispose of her body in a car, according to the police.
The likes of Divya Pahuja have modeled before. She was implicated in the murder of gangster Sandeep Gadoli. On February 7, 2016, the mobster was killed in a Mumbai hotel.
She was granted bail in June of last year by the Bombay High Court, seven years after she was arrested for the murder.
Divya Pahuja, her mother, five police officials, and herself were all taken into custody in relation to the gangster’s murder.
Police in Mumbai said that hotel employees enticed Gadoli with the promise of a relationship by using his girlfriend Pahuja. Following this, he was allegedly assassinated in a sham meeting. Virendra Kumar, alias Binder Gujjar, allegedly conspired with Haryana police to have Gadoli murdered when he was a member of a rival gang.
Police allegedly said that Pahuja was used as a honey trap by Gujjar, who was in prison at the time of the meeting (PTI). The police are now looking into this situation.
Following the completion of her approximately seven-year jail term, Divya Pahuja applied for parole. Pahuja was just eighteen years old when she was arrested and imprisoned.
Naina, Pahuja’s sister, went to the police when her loved ones were unable to contact her; she suspected that her death was being covered up. The 56-year-old hotel owner Abhijeet Singh said in her testimony to the authorities that her sister was last seen at her establishment.
Bloodstains were found on the hotel stairs when a police unit arrived later that night, on Tuesday. As the crew studied the security footage, they saw two men making their way toward the main entrance of the hotel with a motionless body wrapped in a sheet. After that, a blue BMW was loaded with the corpse.
Investigating the footage from the hotel’s security system led the police to the scene of the incident. An investigation is now underway based on the recorded occurrence. According to PTI’s interview with Police Superintendent Mukesh Kumar, the matter is also being investigated by the criminal investigation team.
The police said that Pahuja was attempting to blackmail Singh. His statement to the authorities suggests that Pahuja began blackmailing him soon after her release and had access to some of his private photographs.
On Tuesday night, he met her in his hotel room and tried to delete the photographs from her phone, but she had locked it, according to Singh. After an altercation escalated, “Singh shot her dead,” ACP Kumar said.
The Gurugram Police arrested Hemraj and Om Prakash, two of Singh’s employees, in connection with the case. The body has managed to evade the authorities so far.
