Since 2004, Asaduddin Owaisi has served as the constituency representative for Hyderabad. This time, he will battle Madhavi Latha, a Hindutva figure.

Since Owaisi’s father, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, won the seat in 1984, the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency has served as the Majlis’s stronghold. Asaduddin Owaisi had held the seat since 2004. In 2019 there was a disparity of approximately 3 lakh votes between Owaisi and Bhagavanth Rao, the BJP candidate. The BJP plans to challenge the status quo in 2024 by fielding Dr. Madhavi Latha. The BJP’s first list of 195 candidates include Madhavi Latha’s name indicating that the party is serious about concentrating on marginalized areas.

About Madhavi Latha

In the BJP’s campaign against triple talaq, Madhavi Latha, or Kompella Madhavi Latha, served as the spokesperson. Dr. Madhvi is the chairman of the Viranchi Hospital in Hyderabad and a cultural activist.

Madhavi Latha is a mother of three children, two daughters and one son, and a professional Bharatanatyam dancer. She made headlines for homeschooling all of her kids, the oldest of whom is currently enrolled at IIT. Madhavi Latha belonged to the NCC cadet program as well. Her field of study was political science. Vishwanath, the spouse of Madhavi Latha, founded and serves as president of the Virinchi Hospital.

Another name for Madhavi Latha is a religious speaker. She has dedicated herself to Hindu causes. Additionally, Madhavi Latha is connected to numerous charitable organizations, such as the LathaM Foundation and the Lopamudra Charitable Trust.

The 49-year-old is the initial woman the BJP has put up for office in Hyderabad.

Although Madhavi Latha’s mention from Owaisi’s constituency was unexpected, Madhavi Latha stated that she has been employed there for a year. I have been going to all those places every day for the past year and working eleven for twelve hours. Nothing exists; neither cleanliness nor education exist. Youngsters in madrasas are not fed. Muslim kids have no future and end up as child laborers. Furthermore, Madhavi Latha claimed that illegal habitations and Hindu temples are being taken over in Hyderabad’s Old City. Why is Old City in such terrible shape?                It is in the center of Hyderabad, the city that Telangana and Andhra Pradesh fought for; it is neither in the hills nor in a tribal area. But poverty exists in Hyderabad’s core, according to Madhavi.

Imagine what a constituency ought to have grown by now if someone has been representing it in

An election for 40 years. It’s time for them to retire. Twenty-one lakh voters’ tears moved New Delhi, and in Hyderabad, they declared war. Justice will now be served to these people, stated Madhavi Latha. According to Madhavi, Owaisi is not the BJP’s B team, as evidenced by her nomination for the seat.
