Today, PM Modi is expected to inaugurate several development projects in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. His itinerary starts with a trip to Assam’s Kaziranga National Park. Next, he goes to Itanagar to take part in the Viksit Bharat Viksit North East program. On this occasion, he will unveil the Rs10,000 crore UNNATI scheme and officially open the Sela Tunnel.

Projects that will be launched today:

In honor of Lachit Borphukan, the famed General of the Royal Army of the Ahom Kingdom of Assam, who is hailed for his victory over the Mughals, PM Modi is scheduled to unveil an imposing 84-foot-tall statue. PM Modi will dedicate and open a number of infrastructure projects in Jorhat at a public event. These projects will support the housing, rail health, and oil and gas industries.

At a function in Itanagar, he will present a number of development initiatives spanning Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. These initiatives cover a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, power, IT, broader infrastructure, housing, health, and education. In Arunachal Pradesh, PM Modi will also dedicate and lay the foundation for several projects valued at over Rs 41,000 crore.

At the Viksit Bharat Viksit West Bengal program in Siliguri, the prime minister will take part. He will launch and dedicate a number of development projects in the road and rail industries, totaling more than Rs45,00 crore, during this event.

In Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the groundwork for numerous development projects worth over Rs 42,000 crore.

I visited Kaziranga National Park in Assam this morning. Modi wrote on X that this UNESCO World Heritage site, which is surrounded by lush greenery, is endowed with a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the majestic one-horned rhinoceros.

The inauguration ritual for the 5.5 lakh houses built (under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) which cost Rs. 8450 crore, is set to be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jorhat, Assam. He will also give a speech to the public at Meleng Meteli Pothar in Jorhat and lay the foundation stone of Sivasagar Medical College. Women have flocked to Jorhat, Assam, to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned public event today., during which he will unveil the statue of Lachit Borphukan.

The state, which honors the renowned general of the Royal Army of the Ahom kingdom of Assam, known for his victory over the Mughals, is an impressive 84 feet high. Today, PM Modi will open the longest twin-lane tunnel (Sela Tunnel) in the world.
