NewDelhi: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and PDM alliance partner Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday filed nomination papers for the post of Pakistan’s prime minister, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) roped in former FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi as its candidate for the post.
This development came after PM Imran Khan was removed from the PM’s chair by a no-confidence vote held in the early Sunday morning, becoming the PM of Pakistan to be sent home after the no-confidence trust vote.
PML-N leaders Khawaja Asif and Rana Tanveer acted as endorsers for Shehbaz’s nomination in National Assembly. Former FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi, filed his candidature as PTI’s PM candidate and his papers were endorsed by PTI leaders Aamir Dogar and Ali Muhammad Khan.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader and Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Deputy Speaker rejected the no-confidence motion and on his advice, the President of Pakistan has dissolved the National Assembly. In wake of this act, Pakistan’s opposition and PDM alliance went to Supreme Court.
The Top Court has directed the National Assembly to conduct the vote on no confident on 9th April where Imran Khan lost the majority and was sent back home. But Imran Khan has brokered a deal with the Establishment for his safe exit.
Shehbaz Kashmir rant
PML-N president and PDM alliance PM candidate Shehbaz Sharif has once again started the Kashmir rant before taking the oath as PM. He said that for peace between India and Pakistan final resolution is needed. He further said we will not act or involve in any political vendetta against anyone, but the law will take its own course when it comes to accountability.
