Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister said on Saturday that Armed force employees get financial incentive. The cash rewards are honored to medalists of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games. Both those activities were carried out in Hangzhou, China, at some point of September-October, final year. The cash rewards are also approved for 7 Para athletes and 45 medal winners.

“These 45 athletes gained 9 gold, 18 silver, and 17 bronze medals in the Asian Games and one gold, four silver, and bronze medals in the Asian Para Games,” the ministry said in an announcement.

“The cash incentive, introduced by using the Ministry of Defence for the militia employees for the first time, will, in addition, inspire those athletes to showcase a good better overall performance at qualifying occasions of the Paris Olympics Games 2024 for which they are presently preparing,” it said

Winners of gold medals in both the Asian Games and Asian Para Games can be entitled to a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs every, silver medallist will acquire Rs 15 lakhs every, and bronze medal winners could be provided Rs 10 lakhs every.
