Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited people to visit the National War Memorial in New Delhi in his first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of the year on Sunday.
“We saw the ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ near India Gate and the flame at the neighbouring National War Memorial fused into one.” “Many of my countrymen and martyrs’ families were crying in this painful time,” he remarked.

“Amar Jawan Jyoti (at the National War Memorial) is a beautiful homage to martyrs, according to some veterans… I urge you to pay a visit to the War Memorial… Many prizes were announced as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav,’ including the PM Bal Puraskar and Padma awards.”
He went on to say that he had received a great number of postcards from children all around the country, as well as from other countries.
He stated that he got more than one crore postcards posted with their ‘Mann Ki Baat.’ These postcards came from all around the country, and even from other countries. These postcards show our younger generation’s broad and comprehensive vision for our country’s future.

The Prime Minister then spoke about some of the country’s unsung heroes, as is his wont. He was referring to the Tayammal family of Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, who made a career selling tender coconut water. “Despite her financial problems, she educates her children. She even gave a school a one-lakh donation. To do so, you’ll need a huge heart, says Prime Minister Modi.
