The Prime Minister inaugurated a statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on Wednesday. He inaugurates the statue of the co-founding father of BJP’s predecessor, Bharatiya Jana Sangh, in Yavatmal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will cope with over 1 lakh members of women self-help groups at a rally in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district on Wednesday afternoon. He is also going to release funds of 825 crore to self help groups. 

PM Modi unveils statue

PM Modi unveil the Pandirr Deendayal Upadhyaya Statue in Yavatmal City of Maharashtra. He is set to do this inauguration under the development projects. Moreover, he will also distribute the funds to people under PM Kisan scheme and other government schemes at same time. He will going to released the 16th installment of more than Rs 21,000 crore under PM Kisan samman Nidhi Yojana. He distribute this installment amount through direct benefit transfer to farmers. 

With this release, more than Rs three lakh crore will be transferred to more than eleven crore farmers’ households. The PM will even disburse the 2nd and 3rd instalments of ‘Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi’ of about Rs 3,800 crore, benefiting almost 88 lakh farmers throughout Maharashtra.

According to an event launched through the authorities, the Prime Minister will distribute the budget under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Maharashtra Rajya Namo Shetkari Samman Yojana, which entails an annual credit score of Rs 12,000 (Rs 6,000 every from the Centre and the kingdom) to the farmers.

PM Modi will ensure the distribution of 1 crore Ayushman Bharat cards throughout Maharashtra. He may also release the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC class beneficiaries in Maharashtra and switch the first instalment of Rs 375 crore to 2.5 lakh beneficiaries of the scheme, the release said.

PM Modi takes initiatives

He will inaugurate irrigation initiatives worth Rs 2,750 crore in the Marathwada and Vidarbha areas of Maharashtra.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate multiple rail initiatives well worth over 1,300 crore in Maharashtra throughout his visit. PM Modi also planned to starts the teaching services, that connects Wardha with Kalamb and New Ashti with Amalner. 

PM Modi’s visits and significance

Modi has been regularly travelling to Maharashtra over the past year to release numerous projects. Although the Maharashtra BJP unit says his visits are merely legit, its larger political connotations can’t be overlooked. With 48 Lok Sabha seats, the country is extraordinarily crucial for the BJP which has set a 370-plus target for itself and pursuits for over 400 seats under NDA.

From infrastructure to irrigation, PM Modi has released multiple tasks covering areas across Maharashtra over the past year.

In January this year, he became in state twice in 8 days. In Solapur on January 19, he inaugurated a low-cost housing project for 30,000 households of unorganised people. At present, 15,000 homes are ready for allotment under the huge task spread across 350 acres.


As per the reports, PM Modi is set to unveil statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya today. He will unveil a 41-foot tall statue of Deendayal Upadhyaya on Jamb Street and inaugurate the Wardha-Kalamb railway line phase.
