NewsPK rejects Sonia's offer said- Congress needs good leadership not me

Date:

NewDelhi:  After all talks and speculations, Prashant Kishor (PK)  finally refused to join the Congress. There was speculation for the last 15 days that Prashant would join the Congress. Prashant himself showed the 600-page presentation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. After this, Sonia sought advice from the 8-member committee on the inclusion of PK in the party.

The committee advised that if Prashant comes to Congress, he should leave the rest. On Tuesday, Congress spokesperson Surjewala tweeted – Congress President formed an Empowered Action Group 2024 and invited Prashant Kishor to join the group, giving responsibility. But, he refused. We appreciate his efforts and suggestions given to the party.

PK said – Congress does not need me

After Surjewala’s statement, PK himself made it clear that he was not joining Congress. In my opinion, to fix the internal problems of the party, Congress needs more good and strong leadership than me.

6 committees have been formed yesterday

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala had said on Monday that the Empowered Action Group will decide what the policy will be in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the meeting held at 10 Janpath, the Congress took a big decision regarding the future, under which 6 new committees were formed by the Congress.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Salman Khurshid, P Chidambaram, Mukul Wasnik, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Amarinder Singh Waring will work as separate conveners of all these six committees.

The committee had submitted a report on Kishore’s entry

Sonia Gandhi had constituted a committee of Congress leaders to consider Prashant’s presentation and his joining the party. This committee submitted its report to party president Sonia Gandhi, committee members KC Venugopal, Digvijay Singh, Ambika Soni, Randeep Surjewala, Jairam Ramesh and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra went to 10 Janpath to take a decision on Prashant.

The committee also wanted Prashant to distance himself from all other political parties and to devote himself completely to Congress. Prashant Kishor had suggested that the Congress ally with regional parties like Mamata Banerjee’s TMC and KCR’s TRS.

PK’s decision changed after giving a presentation

PK also gave a 600-page presentation to Congress, in which it was told what the party would have to do to return to power. However, many Congress veterans had already shunned Prashant. He himself was camping in Hyderabad for 2 days at the house of Telangana Chief Minister KCR.

According to the sources close to the Congress central leadership, it was already on the cards, since some senior party leaders are whimsical and don’t want to work on the whims & fancies of PK.
