Lucknow: Lakhimpur Kheri violence case:  The judge has extended the time for hearing on the framing of charges against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra in Lakhimpur’s Tikunia violence till May 10. Now the next hearing will be on May 10. Today, the prosecution had to file a written counter on the discharge application, but due to non-preparation of the form, the public prosecutor said to fix a further date, on which District Judge Mukesh Mishra has fixed the next date for hearing on May 10.

Let us tell you that by sending a letter to the court by the jail superintendent, in view of the security arrangements, instead of making personal appearances, an appeal was made to appear through video conferencing. In the case, the public prosecutor said that the discharge application of all the accused has not yet come, while the application for the discharge of many accused has been given.

In the other case of theTikunia violence case, the hearing was held yesterday i.e. on Monday as well. In this, the district judge has fixed the next hearing on May 9. Four accused are currently in jail in the death of two BJP workers and a driver. In this case, also charges are to be framed.

The Lakhimpur-Kheeri incident happened on October 3

The Allahabad High Court had granted bail to Ashish Mishra on February 10. Ashish was released from jail after 129 days on February 15. Let us tell you that there was a ruckus in Tikunia of Lakhimpur Kheri during the farmers’ movement on 3rd October. In this ruckus, three vehicles went away crushing the demonstrators. A total of eight people, including four farmers, had died in this incident.

Ashish Mishra surrendered on Sunday, Apr 24th in Lakhimpur after the Supreme Court rejected the bail orders of the High Court.
