Arvind Kejriwal Announces 50,000 Rs for Farmers

According to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, farmers in the city who have experienced crop loss due to the recent unseasonal rains will be compensated at a rate of Rs 50,000 per acre. On Sunday and Monday, the capital was pounded by torrential rains. This October has been the wettest in Delhi in 65 years, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

I’d want to reassure all of my farming brothers that they shouldn’t be concerned. I am on your side, and the government is on your side as well. In any crisis, we will be there for you,” Kejriwal declared in a digital press conference on Wednesday.

“This is the country’s highest rate. They provide Rs 8000 in one state and Rs 10,000 in another,” he explained. According to Kejriwal, the Delhi government makes announcements and ensures that the money enters the farmers’ accounts within three months. All SDMs and DMs are surveying to determine whether crops have been harmed. He stated, “The task has begun.”
