CM N Biren Singh appealed to people to stop violence in Manipur and start a peaceful dialogue to end all ethnic crises. In this violence act of people, more than 180 people died and thousands are displaced internally since the ethnic violence was start on 3 May on northeastern state. Further he also say that we can’t denied tourism is also affected with it. But especially in the Imphal area and other hilly areas except for two districts, normal conditions are there, but still, tourism is reduced by 10-20%. 

Ethnic violence affects tourism. 

During the crisis time, even in Imphal Valley, security vehicles were not allowed to move. We must take some time because all are our people. We can’t use force in opposition to them. Slowly, normalcy is returning. We should convince the people and urge them to stop violence,” he said in a press conference. 

On being requested on violence in Manipur in the year 2023, the CM stated that “we have to not count number 8 months” as there had been 4-5 months whilst there was no disaster in the country. “From 3 May, you all are counting 8 months; however, for 4-5 months, there was no crisis. Everything was non-violent. We have to now not remember eight months but, most effectively, the time when the disaster passed off. Problem-fixing takes time. But in the meantime, I want to request all people, mainly those in Manipur, to stop violence and start peaceful dialogue. 

N Biren Singh tries to improve conditions and bring peace back 

We must stay collectively, CM said. We must resettle the displaced person in their respective locations. Children need to cross to high school,” he said. 

The ethnic violence concerning the Kuki and Meitei groups erupted after a rally by the All Tribal Students Union of Manipur (ATSUM) on 3 May. With the violence and rioting persisting and many lives lost, the Centre had to installation paramilitary forces to bring peace back to the country. 

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court requested the Manipur authorities to supply to the court docket-appointed committee the information about the steps it had taken to get back the locations of worship that were destroyed in the ethnic violence.

Joint seek operation with Manipur Police 

To bring peace to Manipur and other affected areas and improve tourism, CM N Biren Singh and many people are making efforts. Assam Rifles, in a joint seek operation with Manipur police, recovered palms and ammunition in the widespread vicinity of Kouburu Ridge in Noney district on Saturday, in step with a respectable announcement. On the basis of data available on the presence of arms and ammunition, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police released a joint seek operation on 23 December. As the ethnic violence created by people in Manipur hit tourism, lost the lives of many people, and displaced some other people, N Biren Singh urges people to finally stop this violence and create peaceful dialogues in the country.
