JP Nadda, the leader of the BJP, has been given an extension until June of this year. The party’s national council gave its approval to the decision on Sunday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had made the announcement in January. 

Moreover, JP Nadda has been given the power to independently make big decisions, though these will need to be approved by the party’s parliamentary board afterwards.

This decision was made on the following day of the BJP’s national council meeting in Delhi, where the top leadership and thousands of party members gathered to talk about the party’s campaign themes and strategy for the approaching Lok Sabha elections. 

When Amit Shah, the party’s then-leader, was appointed to a Union minister in 2019, JP Nadda took over as the BJP’s working president. In 2020, Nadda assumed full-time leadership of the party.

We had the highest strike rate in Bihar under JP Nadda’s leadership, Amit Shah had said in January, when he announced an extension to Nadda’s term as national president of the BJP. In Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, the NDA secured victories and grew in numbers. In Gujarat, we won by a wide margin as well.

On Saturday, Nadda urged all BJP members to make sure that the party secures over 370 seats and the NDA surpasses 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, expressing his strong faith in the abilities and capabilities of party workers. I firmly believe in our karyakartas’ abilities and strengths. Our booths need to get stronger and stronger. Nadda stated, “We have to exert to make sure that we win 370 seats and the NDA wins 400.

Amit Shah created JP Nadda’s leadership for the party’s successful strikes in Bihar and the NDA’s stunning electoral wins in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat when he announced JP Nadda’s extension.

We had the highest strike rate in Bihar during Nadda’s tenure. In addition to winning in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, the NDA also gained a majority in Maharashtra. In Gujarat, we also recorded a resounding victory, according to Shah. 

Nadda restates PM Modi’s clarion call for 400 seats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 400 seat clarion call was reiterated by Nadda on Saturday. The president of the Bharatiya Janata Party urged party members to make sure they win over 370 seats, expressing his strong belief in the abilities and strengths of party workers.

In addition, Jashvantsinh Parmar, Mayank, and diamond merchant Dholakia have been fielded by the party. Since several of them may run in the Lok Sabha elections, a number of prominent BJP leaders and departing Rajya Sabha MPs, including Union Ministers like Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhupender Yadav, were not nominated again for the Rajya Sabha elections.
