News Desk – During a special discussion in the Lok Sabha on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference MPs Mian Altaf Ahmad and Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi spoke about the difficulties faced by people in Kashmir after the recent violence.
Mian Altaf Ahmad, who represents Anantnag-Rajouri, said the terror attack happened in his area on April 22, and he strongly demanded strict punishment for the attackers. Addressing Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was present in the House, he said, “We want all the murderers to be punished severely.”
He also raised concerns about people killed in Pakistani shelling in areas like Rajouri and Poonch, which are part of his constituency.
Ahmad further spoke about the recent death of 20-year-old Mohammad Parvez in police firing near Jammu. He said such incidents make people lose faith in the law if no action is taken. “I request the Home Minister to take strong action against those responsible for killing this youth,” he added.
Importantly, Ahmad urged the government to review the cases of any innocent people who may have been arrested after the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor. “If they are found innocent, they should be released,” he said.
