Lucknow: Former MLA Rajkumar Pal is elected as the new state chief of Apna Dal (Sonelal). Rajkumar got 49 votes in his favour out of 51 whereas Rajendra Prasad Pal, who was the state chief then, got just two votes. The national president of the party, Anupriya Patel, was present during the election.
She welcomed Rajkumar he elected. Rajkumar pal was the working president of the state unit of the party during the recently held assembly polls. Alliance partner of BJP, Apna dal (S) won 12 seats in the UP Polls. Apna Dal is the third-largest party in the UP Assembly.
