Delhi court granted the jailed AAM MP leader, Sanjay Singh, to sign documents for his renomination in Rajya Sabha. The terms of Sanjay Singh end on 27 January. His application was moved to Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi to get permission and get a signature on the undertaking, which is required to connect with the ” no dues certificate for Sanjay Singh from Rajya Sabha.

Hand over the Sanjay Singh Application 

Special Judge MK Nagpal handed the order on an application filed by way of the politician, who submitted that his current period as a member of the Rajya Sabha is expiring on 27 January, and the Returning Officer has issued a note on 2 January for the conduct of the election and nominations for the equal are to be submitted by using 9 January, state by media. 

The application gets the direction from the Tihar Jail superintendent to allow Singh to sign the documents.

When is Sanjay Singh arrested?

The anti-money laundering business company arrested Singh on 4 October. The ED has alleged that Singh played a key role in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped excise coverage, which benefited positive liquor producers, wholesalers, and stores for monetary issues. The AAP leader has rebutted the claim.

Special Judge M K Nagpal expressed his prima facie view and said, “The proof and fabric display involvement of the applicant in the commission of the alleged offense of money laundering due to the fact he’s proven to had been, without delay or not directly, concerned in the system linked with proceeds of crime generated via the scheduled offenses case of CBI.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has been re-nominated via Rajya Sabha MP Party as his term ends on 27 January. In this regard, an application was moved in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court for permission to take Singh’s signatures on an ‘Undertaking’ that’s said to be required in reference to getting a ‘No Dues Certificate’ for the applicant. The court has allowed Singh to sign documents for his Rajya Sabha renomination.
