Speaking at the event, Sonawal said, “Welcome to all our party workers’ wonderful initiative to reach out to every citizen who lives in India’s more than seven lakh villages. India has been expanding at an amazing rate under the bold vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, and the numerous welfare programs the Modi government has implemented have helped both rural and urban residents.
Together with the villagers, Sonawal organized a clean-up campaign in the vicinity of the Durga temple.
While spending the night at a local’s home at the Maaj Line of the Dirai Tea Estate, Sonowal also shared dinner with the villagers.
Gaon Chalo Abhiyan, the BJP’s extensive outreach program for rural villages, aims to discuss development initiatives and assess how well the central welfare schemes are being implemented.
Bhabesh Kalita, the state president of the BJP, stated that the main goal of the campaign is to get to know the people of the state, gain insight into their lives, and increase the vote share in the coming Lok Sabha (LS) presidential elections by at least 10%. Kalita spent Tuesday night at Mudoi Gaon, on the river island of Majuli. There is hardly a village in the state where growth has not occurred or a road that has not been built during the BJP’s tenure. Given that they have benefited from numerous welfare programs, the villagers expressed their extreme satisfaction with the BJP government, he said.
