NewsBJP and Stalin’s DMK played blame games over the drug problem

Date:

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Delhi Police recently busted a large international drug cartel, which is why the BJP has blasted Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin’s DMK party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that he was concerned about the future  of the youth in Tamil Nadu and asserted that drugs had a significant hold on the state during his recent visit to Chennai. This happened after Jaffar Sadiq, the Chennai West Deputy Organizer of the DMK NRI wing who is also connected to the Tamil film industry, was discovered during case-related investigations.

It was later discovered that Sadiq was purportedly connected to a gang as well.

As the investigation went on the BJP released photos of Sadiq with a number of senior DMK leaders. The BJP then expelled Sadiq.

The BJP’s criticism has also been bolstered by the recent drug seizure made by the Coast Guard and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), which resulted in the seizure of 36 kg of drug valued at Rs 180 crore on March 1 and 99 kg drug worth Rs 108 crore on March 5.

At a press conference on Tuesday in Nagercoil, Law Minister S. Reghupathy defended the government of Tamil Nadu against the BJP’s accountants, saying that the state should not be singled out for the nation’s growing drug problem.

We refer to this as the Modi formula-blaming others for the drug problem. Many states around the nation are reporting drug seizures. However, as the elections draw near, they are solely blaming Tamil Nadu. He said that the people of the state would not be duped.

Apart from highlighting the massive drug hauls that have recently been discovered off the coast of Gujarat, Reghupathy also brought attention to the fact that sixteen BJP officials have been charged with violating anti-drug laws in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The Divine Dwarka and Mr. Narendra Modi’s Gujarat coast has developed safe havens for the smuggling of drugs worth thousands of crores of rupees into the nation. The land of peace with a stable government is being accused by Mr. Modi. According  to S. Reghupathy, the Narcotics Control bureau of the Union government is incapable of stopping drug smuggling. He added that efforts have been made by the DMK government, led by Chief Minister Stalin, to suppress the sale and distribution of drugs.

To elaborate, the minister provided data on the amount of drugs found since the DMK took office and asserted that the conviction rate in drug-related cases was higher than 80%.
