Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav shows concerns over the unfair detention of opposition party workers in Uttar Pradesh. According to Yadav, local authorities, including district magistrates and police, have been detaining workers from participating in the vote counting.
Yadav called for the immediate release of the detained individuals and has accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He highlighted the importance of protecting the right to vote.
The counting of votes for the 543-member Lok Sabha is begin from 8 am on Tuesday. Some exit polls have indicated BJP-led NDA, could surpass their set goal in the elections.
