According to a federal agency spokeswoman, Ashok Kumar was the ninth offender to be taken into custody in his investigation after weapons and ammunition were found on his property in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 31 locations in Rajasthan and Haryana, including Hisar, Rewari, Mahendergarh, and other areas connected to gangsters, on Wednesday and detained a major suspect in the assassination of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in Jaipur last month.
According to a federal agency spokeswoman, Ashok Kumar was the ninth offender to be taken into custody in this investigation after weapons and ammunition were found on his property in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. On December 5, during the day, Gogamedi and another individual were shot and killed at his Shyam Nagar home in Jaipur, inflicting two injuries. Later on, one of the injured also passed away from wounds. On December 11, the NIA assumed control of the case, which had initially been reported by the Rajasthan Police. The NIA team, working closely with the Haryana police, made their way to Dongra Ahir Hamlet in Mahendergarh. This is the hometown of murderer Nitin Fauji, who is among the primary suspects in the murder of Gogamedi.
Authorities from the investigation agency also investigated the homes of two more criminals, Neeraj and Mahesh Saini, at Bandor village in the district and Sati colony in Rewari. The homes of Ranveer Pilania in the Mahendergarh village of Surheti were also raided by the NIA. Officials stated that the NIA team began raids at different locations around five in the morning. After taking a two-day leave of absence on November 7, Nitin Fauji was transferred to Alwar, Rajasthan, and enlisted in the 17 Jat Battalion. He visited Mahendergarh on November 9 of last year, and his family claims that he hasn’t spoken to them since.
He killed Sukhdev Singh in December, among other crimes, at that time, according to NIA officials. A joint operation by the crime branch of Delhi Police and the Rajasthan Police’s special investigation team (SIT) resulted in the arrest of Nitin Fauji, 26 of Mahendragarh, Haryana, and Rohit Rathore, 26 of Makrana, who are both suspected of killing Sukhdev Singh. The arrests took place last month at a liquor store in Sector 22, Chandigarh. Uddham Singh, a third individual from Hisar who assisted them in eluding the police, was also taken into custody. The NIA team also carried out raids at the Satrod village in Hisar, where Udham Singh, an aide of Fauji, lived. The family members of Udhham Singh were questioned by the NIA team.
