Date:

With 115 seats won in the 199 Assembly constituencies on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party made a comeback to power in Rajasthan, while the Congress won 68 seats. Which candidate will be the next Chief Minister is the key question facing the saffron party, which stormed to power once more. There is not a single possible candidate from the BJP for this year’s assembly elections to be the Chief Minister.

For many years, Vasundhara Raje, the former chief minister of Rajasthan, has been a formidable contender from her home state. She was not, however, tipped to be the face of the Chief Minister post in the state elections of Rajasthan in 2023.

Baba Balak Nath, who is thought of as Yogi Adityanath’s counterpart in Uttar Pradesh, could become Rajasthan’s next chief minister, claims a report.

In the Tijara Assembly constituency, which is predominantly Muslim, the BJP has selected Baba Balak Nath, the saffron sant, to run against Imran Khan of the Congress. Baba Balak Nath was born in Alwar.

Baba Balaknath, also known as Rajasthan ka Yogi, won Tijara, his constituency, with a sizable majority.

About Balak Nath

Baba Balak Nath, the eighth mahant of Baba Mast Nath Math, the national headquarter of the Nath Yogi’s Sect. to which he was dedicated at the age of six, is the chancellor of Baba Math Nath University in Rohtak, Haryana. His parents, Subhash Yadav and Urmila Devi, had promised to devote their firstborn child to the service of Baba Mast Nath Dera. They were devoted followers of the saint. Baba Balak Nath was brought into the order by means of the customary Nath ear-piercing ceremony. He was named Mat Nath Dera’s successor in 2016. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath were present at the event.

My big brother

Baba Balak Nath responded, He is like an elder brother to me, when questioned about the apparent relationship between him and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Adityanath conveyed her faith in Baba Balak Nath’s capacity to transform Tijara into Sitara and enhance its prosperity. Additionally, the CM urged everyone to make sure opposition candidates forfeit their deposits. The two’s intimacy and matching saffron robes have contributed to the creation of an image of Balaknath.

Other Chances for CM

The success of the BJP’s election campaign in Rajasthan was largely dependent on the key party figures making multiple trips to the state to hold rallies, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Raje is still optimistic, though, that he will lead Arid State for the third time. Raje, who has been the incumbent in the Jhalrapatan constituency since 2003, won the seat handily in this year’s assembly election.

Competition from the other party candidates may be the barrier preventing the former chief minister of Rajasthan from fulfilling her dream of holding the position once more. Among the candidates who could give Raje serious competition are Baba Balaknath, Union Minister Gajendra Sign Shekhawat and Rajasthan BJP Chief Satish Poonia.
