Thursday marked the beginning of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for the Lok Sabha Election 2024. In a video that lasted two minutes and ten seconds, the saffron party released a song that praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As the title suggests, “That’s why people chose Modi” is the lyric that will be used as the BJP’s campaign song for the general election in 2024.
The election anthem praised many government initiatives launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Har Ghar Nal Scheme, the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi used technological means to address the youth of India, reminding them that their votes will dictate the course of the country’s destiny.
The youth wing of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hosted Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a virtual address to young voters, where he drew parallels between the youth’s responsibility to guide India’s development over the next 25 years and that of the youth who battled for independence from Britain during the same period.
Prime Minister Modi will launch development projects worth ₹19,100 crore in Bulandshahr. Things have been looking better recently, he said, adding that the country’s young had a grim outlook on the future ten to twelve years ago.
His words encapsulated the current national discourse: people are talking about possibilities that their parents’ generation had given up on in 2014, the year the BJP assumed federal government.
With his speech on digital India, the push for start-ups, and the improvement of infrastructure, among other development measures, he assured the youth that their opportunities were limitless. While claiming credit for a number of long-standing reforms—including the abolition of instant triple talaq among Muslims, the implementation of GST, the repeal of Article 370, and the reservation of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and assemblies—Prime Minister Modi attacked the opposition alliance.
As a result of recent developments like the Ram Temple dedication ceremony, the BJP’s victory in three assembly elections in 2023, and the revival of the Indian stock market, political experts are claiming that Modi is in a strong position to gain a third five-year term as president. Not only that, but his standing has been strengthened by the recent divisions within the INDIA bloc alliance, as Chief Ministers Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal and Bhagwant Mann of Punjab have decided to go in alone.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rode to victory with 282 seats in 2014 and even more domination with 303 seats this year. The efforts of the Modi government have made the Cronies of dreams a reality. Lots of young individuals have gotten jobs and became Aatmnirbhar because of entrepreneurial loans and enterprises. Beez to Bazaar provides farmers with all the resources they need, including access to international markets. More women have positions of power and influence, and they are increasingly able to support themselves financially. Those in dire straits no longer have to endure the horrors of poverty; they are now free to live as they like. It is his hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will “intuitively gauze people’s dreams and fulfil them” that would lead to India’s prosperity, he said.
