Lucknow: The beleaguered SP MLA and the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia), Chief, Shivpal Yadav is scouting for greener pastures after getting ignored by his nephew and Samajwadi Paty (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. Shivpal met central BJP leaders and UP CM yogi at his residence after not invited for SP legislature meet.
Meanwhile, both BJP and Shivpal are weighing their options. On one hand, he wants a future political safeguard for himself and his son Aditya while BJP is looking to extract maximum political benefit from him. As per the sources, BJP may play a wild card and appoint him as the Deputy Speaker in Vidhan Sabha, to send a bigger message to Yadav voters, which comprise around 10% in the state.

The long-running between Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav seems to reach an end post the 2022 assembly election. Shivpal asked for about 10-120 seats for his followers but in the end, SP chief spared only one seat for him to take mileage of the family unity in elections.
If sources are to be believed, Shivpal Yadav may join BJP along with his supporters but now is bargaining for a secure future for his son and a redeemable political position for himself in UP Speculations are on the rife that BJP either send him to Rajya Sabha or he con contest by-election on Azamgrah LokSabha seat which fell vacant after the resignation of Akhilesh Yadav.

But neither the Shivpal nor the BJP has confirmed any such news. Shivpal who wo Jaswantnagar Vidhan Sabha’s seat in Etawah on the symbol of SP is feeling humiliated after he was not invited in the SP legislature meet in Lucknow even after winning the election of the SP symbol. Meanwhile, BJP is testing Shivpal’s political support in the forthcoming MLC elections before reaching any conclusion.
