100th Test for India: Pujara pays tribute to R. Ashwin’s fitness

News100th Test for India: Pujara pays tribute to R. Ashwin’s fitness

Date:

Bowling 30–40 overs in a day is a difficult task, as Pujara noted, and he called Ashwin one of the fittest cricketers he has ever seen. When describing Ravichandran Ashwin, veteran Indian batter Chesteshwar Pujara pointed out that he was one of the fittest. In the series finale against England in Dharamshala, the star spinner is scheduled to play his 100th test. In the last ten years, Ashwin, who made his test debut in 2011, has been among India’s top-match winners in red-ball cricket. Nevertheless, the 37-year-old’s efforts on the field have come under scrutiny a few times.

Pujara, meanwhile, noted that bowling 30–40 overs in a single day is a difficult undertaking and referred to Ashwin as one of the fittest cricket players he has ever seen.

The most crucial factor when playing the longer format is bowling fitness, and Ash is arguably among the fittest people I have ever met. In his column on ESPNCricinfo, Pujara stated that even though Ashwin might feel a little tired after bowling 30, 35, or 40 overs in a single day, he still has the stamina to go on.

In the third Test match in Rajkot, Ashwin achieved the feat of 500 Test wickets. He then produced a brilliant display in Ranchi, taking four wickets in the second innings. The veteran spinner has struggled to meet expectations in the current series, but Fifer in Ranchi will give him a lot of motivation before his historic 100th test, which he hopes to make memorable. Pujara and Ashwin have a great deal of on-field chemistry and have played a lot of cricket together.

The lucky batter went on to write about his friendship with the star spinner and how eager he is to pick up new skills.
We talked about cricket and became good friends. You can never win an argument with him, even though most of the time we are on the same side. He is extremely intelligent, and within the cricketing fraternity, his slang is probably among the best. I wish my memory were as good as his. That’s most likely due to his constantly racing mind. He said that outside of cricket, he reads a lot, plays chess online, and is receptive to new ideas.

Bollywood and cricket are two things that Indians hold dear, and the Indian T20 League has grown to be a reliable source of both. For the past ten or so years, the League has been able to thrive in India and around the globe thanks to this special combination. Additionally, this has helped young people who are just starting out perform for their team, opening doors for them to go on to represent India internationally in their international careers. One player who has taken full advantage of this opportunity is Ravichandran Ashwin, also known by his teammates’ nickname “Ash.”.
