NationalZubair granted liberty to go to Delhi HC for quashing FIR

New Delhi: Cofounder of Alt News Mohammad Zubair has been given liberty to approach the Delhi High Court for quashing the FIR lodged against at Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. The Supreme Court issued an order in this connection on Wednesday. According to reports, Zubair’s petition will be dealt with on its own merit and it will not be influenced by an order of the Allahabad High Court, which had denied him the relief.

A bench comprising justices DY CVhandrachud and Hima Kohli noted that all the cases against Zubair lodged in UP have been transferred on the grounds of top court’s order on July 20 to the special cell of Delhi police for an inquiry.
