The man who worked as manager in a five-star hotel in Bikaner district of Rajasthan booked a room in a hotel where he locked her up. He returned after two days dead drunk and beat her up. The woman filed a complaint at a police station in Bhopal where her parents live.

Bikaner (Rajasthan)/Bhopal (MP): A man battered his wife for keeping away from wife-swapping game in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, official sources said on Tuesday. Although the incident took place in a hotel room in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, the complaint was lodged in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh where the parents of the woman live.

The man identified as Ammar, was a manager in a five-star hotel in Bikaner, who had booked a room at a hotel where he confined his wife for two days. Then, he entered the room dead drunk and forced his wife to join a wife-swapping game, and when she refused to do that, the man beat her up as well as hurled abuses at her. In the process, the woman suffered from injuries.

In her complaint, the woman said that her husband, mother-in-law and sister-ion-law demanded Rs 50 lakh from her parents as dowry. Although she complained to her in-laws about her husband’s mounting pressure to participate in the wife-swapping game, they hardly paid any heed to it and asked her to be modern.

Her husband continued to assault her and her health deteriorated, the woman said. Fed up with the mental and physical torture, the woman lodged a complaint at a police station in Bhopal.
