UP CM Yogi inaugurates women’s help desks in 1,535 police stations

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday kick-started the women help desk in 1,535 police stations in the state and also talked to the women police workers deployed at the help-desks through video-conferencing.

Mr Yogi said that the issues related to women should be resolved immediately at these police stations. He said that the establishment of women help desks in 1,535 police stations has strengthened ‘Mission Shakti.’ The government is committed towards the security of the daughters and steps will be taken for the same as far as possible.

Mr Adityanath said that along with the basic facilities at these help desks, the deployment of a trained woman employee should also be ensured there. It should be our endeavour to provide quick justice to the real victim. We have to make this campaign successful through public participation, because it cannot be successful without the same.

The UP CM said that between Oct 17-21, action was taken on 3,915 complaints related to women on 112. Out of these, 3,394 complaints pertained to domestic violence while 521 were related to harassment.
