At this year’s parade, the nation’s forces will showcase the remarkable strides made towards gender equality. With the nation getting set to celebrate the 75th Republic Day, all eyes are on a group of extraordinary female officers who will be creating history in the huge parade. The dedication, skill, and commitment of these authorities embody the qualities of greatness and service.

She is the leader of the all-female marching unit from the Armed Forces Medical Services, which will participate in the Republic Day parade. “The transition from operating with a surgical knife to parading with a sword is an exciting and demanding new role.” Swathi, a weapon-finding radar, and the Pinaka rocket system will be unveiled by them at the Republic Day parade. They were among 10 women appointed to the rank of officer in the Regiment of Artillery last year.

Capt Sandhya Mahla (left), Sub Lt Aashu Yadav (right), Flt Lt Shrishti Verma (center), and Capt Sharanya Rao (front) will lead the all-female tri-service group during the Republic Day parade. The contingent will consist of female Agniveers from all three branches. The women officers of the IAF will spearhead the 144-man marching troop during the Republic Day parade.

Sukhoi-30 pilots Flight Lieutenant Ananya Sharma and Flying Officer Asma Shaikh will be taking part in the Republic Day parade with the Indian Air Force tableau. At India’s 75th Republic Day Parade, she will spearhead the Indian Navy’s tableau. It is Atmanirbharta who will serve as the main topic of the Republic Day parade’s centerpiece tableau.

At the Republic Day Parade, an all-female contingent from the Delhi Police is also gearing up to create history as they make their way up the Kartavya Path. They are the first group of their kind to ever participate in the parade. The all-female component consists of women from the city force, mostly from Northeast India. Shweta K. Sugathan, an IPS officer, will oversee the 194 female constables and head constables who will make up the contingent.

A tri-services contingent is headed by Captain Sharanya Rao.

In a first for the tri-services contingent, female officers will spearhead the historic march down the Kartavya Path on Republic Day 2024. “I am the supernumerary officer and will be leading the Army component of the tri-services contingent,” said Captain Sharanya Rao of the Indian Armed Forces in reference to this. For the first time ever, a group representing all three branches of the military will be marching together, and it is a reason for great pride. ‘Nari Shakti’ is the theme this year, thus numerous women-led contingents, including the band, the tri-service, and the MNS contingent (which is taking part for the first time), are taking part.

Another couple who made headlines for climbing the Kartavya Path together was Khullar. It will be the first occurrence of its kind on January 26, 2024, when a couple will march down the Kartavya Path as members of different regiments. The happy couple, Captain Supreetha CT and Major Jerry Blaize, who tied the knot in June 2023, now call New Delhi home.
