Mumbai: The Mumbai police plunged into action to investigate a threat on social to engineer a “26/11-style” terror attack, official sources said on Saturday. Three teams have been formed to investigate the case. The threats were received on a WhatsApp chat message at the Mumbai Traffic Police Control Room. The message sent the top police officials into a tizzy. According to reports, the message was from Pakistan.

The senior police officials said that they began inquire into the case and that they have alerted the Anti-terrorist Squad. Reacting to the message, leader of opposition in the House and leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Ajit Pawar said that the government should seriously take the threat and inquire into it.
