Jabalpur: A man violated a 19-year-old rape survivor again at knife point after being released from jail in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, the police said on Wednesday. The man was put behind bars for violating the woman in 2020, but after coming out from prison, he raped her again asking her to withdraw the complaint she had made against the accused.

The incident came to light after the woman complained against the culprit and his friend. The man raped the woman two years ago when she was 17 years old, a minor. According to in charge of Patan police station in Jabalpur district, Asif Iqbal the woman complained that the accused and his friend had raped her. The criminal was released on bail last year. The complainant said that the man entered her house with his friend nearly a month ago and raped her at knife point. They also made a video clipping of their criminal act and threatened that they would make it viral on social media if she did not withdraw her complaint, Iqbal said. The police launched a search for the criminals.
