New Delhi: The issue of raids at Herald House by the officials of the Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday was raised in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday when Congress MP K Suresh submitted an adjournment notice in the House over the issue. Moving the motion, he said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was trying to throttle the voice of opposition and that the weaponization of the government should be stopped to uphold the democratic ethos.

The raids were conducted in connection with the money laundering case involving the Congress’s interim president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

On Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at the office of Congress mouthpiece National Herald newspaper in connection with a money laundering case involving party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
