Bhopal:A man shot his 32-year-old wife dead in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of Monday, the police said. The accused Rishabh Singh Bhadoria was a former spokesperson of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC). A resident of Thatipur area in Gwalior, Bhadoria had an altercation with his wife on Sunday evening and it continued the next morning. Police said that during the argument, when Bhadoria took out his gun and pointed it at his wife Bhavna Bhadoria, she tried to escape. But Bhadoria shot her dead.
On hearing the gunshot, Bhadoria’s father rushed to the spot and found his daughter-in-law lying in a pool of blood on the floor of the room. He informed the local police station about the incident. The couple have two children who were sleeping when the incident took place. Nevertheless, Bhadoria had escaped with his gun before the police reached the spot. The police said that many criminal cases were registered against Bhadoria in various police stations in Gwalior.

In 2020, the district administration took action against him to expel him from the city limits. The police said there were around 16 cases pending against him which include murder, attempt to murder, criminal intimidation, assault, and possession of illegal weapons. “A case has been registered and the body has been sent for the post-mortem. Family members are being interrogated to find out the reason behind the scuffle. A search operation to nab the accused has been launched,” said a senior police official.
