Seoni: The rainwater was dripping through the roof of a government school building in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh and the students were attending classes with their umbrellas. The district administration and the state government led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan earned a lot of criticism on Wednesday when a picture of the incident went viral on social media. The opposition Congress shared the picture and said that this shows the poor nick of school education system in the state.

Media coordinator of Congress’ state president Kamal Nath, Narendra Saluja, has posted the picture on social media. The picture shows the children are sitting in the classroom with umbrellas and the teachers are teaching. Saluja said, “The picture is revealing the condition of the school building.”

Saluja wrote that the students were forced to study with umbrellas inside the school to shield against water dripping from the roof of a primary school in Khairikala village of Seoni district. Earlier, a video clipping of a group of students crossing a river with a rope went viral on social media.
