Kolkata: Damaging of public properties by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers during their Nabanna Abhijan on Wednesday evoked sharp reaction from Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on Wednesday. She asked whether the government of West Bengal should follow its Uttar Pradesh counterpart and bulldoze the houses of saffron party leaders. In a tweet, Moitra said whether the first chapter of the Central Government’s National Education Police is about how to set police vehicles afire.
“What if Bengal used Bhogiji Ajay Bisht’s model and sent bulldozers to the homes of BJP workers who destroyed public property yesterday? Will BJP stand by on policy or get their Chadds in a twist?” The birth name of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is Ajay Bisht.
The government of UP razes the alleged illegal properties of those who are accused of committing crimes. Therefore, Yogi Adityanath is also called “Bulldozer Baba.”
In another tweet, Moitra said, “Chapter 1 in BJP’s New Education Policy: how to methodically torch police vehicle.” An MP from Krishanagar, she shared a photograph which shows a group of people setting a police vehicle ablaze.
