Maharashtra govt announced Rs 5 lakhs to families of the deceased in aurangabad train accident

Aurangabad: 16 migrant laborers died after being hit by a goods train on Friday (May 8) in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. The incident occurred near Aurangabad district Karmad. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced financial assistance of Rs five lakh each to the families of the deceased laborers. This information has been provided by the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had announced a grant of Rs five lakh each to the families of the deceased laborers killed in a train accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. According to Karmad police, the workers going from Jalna to Bhusaval were returning to Madhya Pradesh. They said that they were walking on the side of the railway tracks and slept on the tracks due to fatigue. The officer said that the train crushed them at five in the morning at five. Two of the five survivors are injured.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan tweeted, “Sad news of accidental demise in train accident of many laboring brothers returning from Aurangabad to their home. I pray to God for the peace of departed souls and to give the family the strength to bear this profound grief and the injured get well soon. Humble tribute. “He said,” In this hour of grief, the mournful family should not consider themselves alone. I and the entire Madhya Pradesh government stand with you.
