Dipika Chikhlia has become a household name in the lockdown now. Thanks to her famous role of playing Sita in the Ramayan serial, which was shot over 30 years ago, and has been retelecasted in Doordarshan and now in Star Plus channel.
The actress is all set to play the role of freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu now. She shared the first look poster of her new film on social media.
By sharing the poster on her social media accounts, Dipika wrote: “#sarojini#sarojininaudu …..1st look #poster……#starplus #ramayan #730 #everyday.” The tagline written in Hindi says: “Swatantra ki ek nayika ki unkahi kahaani (the untold story of one of the leaders of freedom movement)”
It seems the re-run of the popular show Ramayan has brought Dipika’s career back in limelight. Dipika has been sharing many stories with the media of working on the Ramayan sets with veteran actors and late director Ramanand Sagar.
Lately, Dipika was seen playing a short but important role in Ayushmann Khurrana’s successful film Bala.
