Kalyan Singh, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh was hospitalized owing to declining health due to old age. Singh is undergoing treatment at Lucknow’s Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), has low blood pressure and cannot discharge urine regularly. 

“The health of ex-CM Kalyan Singh has deteriorated. He has low blood pressure and isn’t passing pee regularly. He is now undergoing dialysis. Let’s see how much his condition improves by tomorrow or this evening. Prof RK Dhiman, the director of SGPGIMS in Lucknow, said, “He’s on a ventilator.”

After contracting an illness that decreased his awareness level, the 89-year-old was put on life support, and his status was constantly monitored last month. However, his health circumstances began to improve a few days later, according to hospital officials.

According to the facility, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, met with former chief minister Kalyan Singh, who was taken to a hospital here in “critical” condition on Wednesday. According to the report, Adityanath visited the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in the morning and inquired about the veteran leader’s health. According to the Statement, Professor R K Dhiman, the hospital’s director, regularly monitors his treatment.

On July 4, the former UP CM was taken to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with an infection and a low state of awareness. He had previously received treatment at the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences in this city. The 89-year-old senior politician has also served as Rajasthan’s governor.

According to the statement, Adityanath was escorted to the hospital by Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna. Several Union ministers have already paid him visits to the hospital, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, has also enquired about his health.
