Lucknow: On the occasion of World Population Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday encouraged people to spread awareness about the problems arising out of the increasing population. He said that increasing population is the root of big problems including inequality.
CM tweeted, “Increasing population is the root of major problems including inequality prevailing in the society. Population control is the primary condition for the establishment of a prosperous society. Come, on this ‘World Population Day’, let us take ourselves towards the problems of increasing population. And take a pledge to make the society aware.”
A day earlier, Uttar Pradesh Law Commission Chairman had said on Saturday that any couple who follow the two-child policy will get allowances from the government under the proposed population control bill in the state.
The State Law Commission has publicly released the first draft of the proposed “UP Population (Control, Stabilization and Welfare) Bill, 2021” and invited suggestions from the public on it till July 19.
