New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) continued to grill Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the second day on Tuesday in connection with the National Herald case. The quizzing began from Monday when he was questioned for 11 hours. Rahul reached the ED office at around 11.07am on Tuesday. The Congress workers again held a protest against the ED summons to their leader outside the agency office.
The grilling ended at 9pm on Monday, but Rahul had to wait as he wanted to make a few corrections in his statements. During the lunch break on Monday, he went to see his mother Sonia Gandhi who has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The quizzing resumed after he returned to the ED office after the lunch break. A few ED questions were related to a Kolkata-based firm, Dotex Merchandise Private Limited. The firm allegedly paid Rs 1 crore to Young India Limited in 2010, which was never returned, and Young India was incorporated when this loan was paid.
