Shivpuri (MP): Residents of a colony near the old bus stand in Shivpuri city of Madhya Pradesh were panicked after they noticed an eight-foot-long crocodile crawling in the area in the early hours of Sunday, the police said.

On getting information about the reptile, a team of forest department rushed to the spot and rescued it after an hour-long operation. It had entered the area through a drain. Sub-divisional officer of police Ajay Bhargava said that a rescue team from Madhav National Park had caught the eight-foot-long reptile and released it into Sankhya Sagar Lake.
