In view of the global increase in COVID cases, the central government has asked the states to conduct mock drills on health facilities. This time the Government of India is already alert about Covid. If we talk about Corona figures in India itself, 236 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active cases of Covid in the country has increased to 3,424.
Strictness is being exercised in India as well in view of the increasing cases of Covid worldwide.
The central government has also asked the states to conduct mock drills on health facilities in view of the global increase in Covid cases. Along with this, the central government has also asked the state governments to ensure the availability of oxygen and life support equipment in hospitals and to make an adequate list of cylinders to face any challenge.
Also, the central government has made the RT-PCR test mandatory for international travelers coming from China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Hong Kong, as the spike in Covid cases in China has raised global concerns. The government has urged people to wear masks and avoid crowded places.
Guidelines issued by the central government:
Recently, the Central Government also issued guidelines. According to these guidelines, states have been asked to increase RT-PCR and antigen tests in every district under the Covid rules. They have been told that new variants can be detected in time, so instructions should be given to get genome sequencing of a maximum number of cases done. Instructions have been given to prepare the resources and staff to deal with Covid in the hospitals.
