
New Delhi: The Modi government likely to bring seven bills, including ‘The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill’ and ‘Delhi Municipal Corporation Amendment Bill, in the Upper House in the remaining half of the ongoing budget session before April 8.
The govt business advisory committee of the Rajya Sabha of Parliament has provided 17 hours for these Bills in the session.
The Upper House has also reported a productivity of 101% during three weeks during the second part of the ongoing session that started on March 14.

The bills that are proposed to be introduced by the Rajya Sabha during the last week of the current session are the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2022, and the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill both passed by the Lok Sabha in this week.
Earlier Lower House passed ‘The Chartered Accountants, the Cost and Works Accountants and the Company Secretaries (Amendment) Bill, 2021’ which will also be taken up in the RS this week.
The Constitution (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) Orders (Amendment) Bill, 2022, related to the state of Uttar Pradesh, the Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022, and the Indian Antarctica Bill, 2022, will also be introduced after passed by the LS.
Besides, this the’ Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities Amendment) Bill, 2022, will also be taken up for passage.
The RS secretariat officials briefed that a total time of 17 hours has been allocated for all the above seven Bills which are going to be presented in Rajya Sabha.

The total business time available during the next week is 29 hours 30 minutes. While, private members’ business time is scheduled for next Friday.
In the last three weeks of the ongoing second part of the session, the Rajya Sabha has clocked productivity of about 101 percent while the House lost 54 minutes due to disruptions and adjournments.
