Lucknow/Mumbai: The Amausi airport in Lucknow reverberated with the chants of Jai Shri Ram on Wednesday morning when Maharashtra tourism minister Aditya Thackeray arrived there for a visit to Ram temple in Ayodhya. Hundreds of Shiv Sainiks accorded him a warm welcome. All of them were carrying placards and banners and raised the chants of Jai Shri Ram.
Thackeray said that Ayodhya is associated with the faith of all, as it is the birthplace of Lord Rama. He said, “I have come here several times in the past few years in 2018, and 2019. My current visit is only for seeking darshan and blessings of Ram Lalla, there is no politics behind it.” Aditya is the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. A large number of Shiv Sainiks from Maharashtra and Lucknow accompanied him to Ayodhya. During his stay in Ayodhya, he will pray at the Ram temple and perform Saryu Arti in the evening.

Earlier, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, Maharashtra PWD minister Eknath Shinde and others visited Ayodhya on June 6 to prepare the ground for Thackeray’s visit. Raut who has been camping in Ayodhya since Tuesday said that Shiv Sena has a long association with the place and the struggle for the temple. Sena has immense faith in Lord Ram, many Shiv Sainiks visit this place every now and then, Raut said.
