Immediately after getting information, the police, the officials of the district administration and ambulances reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.

The cranes were also pressed into service to lift the bus. Many passengers were taken out of the bus by breaking its windows. A group of villagers also helped the police in a relief and rescue operation.
