Krishna Janmashtami or Gokulashtami is nearing. It is just 3 days to go. Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on 18th and 19th August 2022. The day is observed to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna. It is said that Lord Krishna was born on this day at midnight in a prison. His parents Vasudeva and Devaki had to send him away to live with Vasudeva’s friends Nanda and Yashoda in Gokula, Vrindavan where Lord Krishna grew up.
All you need to know about Krishna Janmashtami 2021
Here are some reasons why you should definitely walk on the path of Lord Krishna:
1) Humility:
Lord Krishna was a God but he came in the form of a human being and got his birth in a prison. His intention to take birth as a human being was to live a common man’s life and yet remove all the evil and negativity from the world. It is said that Lord Vishnu took birth as Lord Krishna so that he could stop the evil work of Devaki’s brother Kansa and eliminate such people from the world who trouble common people. Lord Krishna would do all that he could with his powers to kill Kansa and also other evil powers but he would act like a common man as soon as his work gets done in order to live with and empathize with other common people in the society. Lord Krishna would never have the pride or ego of having been born as a form of God but will always stay humble and grounded in his endeavors.

2) Immense Patience:
Lord Krishna loved Devi Radha since childhood after she was his best friend. But he never forced his love or used any of his supreme powers to get wedded to Devi Radha. He allowed NATURE to act its own course of time and followed the rules and regulations as a human being. He didn’t allow others to malign his love and affection for Devi Radha but instead waited patiently to let the world know how divinity is present in their love for each other. Lord Krishna knew where his birth parents were, in the prison since childhood. However, he allowed things to fall in place naturally and went to meet him only at the right time. He never worked against nature but went as per how the rhythm of nature flowed through him to reveal things about his past, present, and future one at a time, just like human beings.
3) Didn’t reverse Gandhari’s curse:
If you have seen Mahabharata, you might have known how Duryodhan’s mother Gandhari cursed Lord Krishna and that his community would end soon. Lord Krishna played the main role in getting justice to the Pandavas who were always exploited by their paternal uncle Dhritrashtra and his 100 sons including Duryodhana. Lord Krishna despite knowing the end of Mahabharata never tried to change things his way but allowed people to react the way they have to. For his support to the Pandavas, even Lord Krishna’s brother Balarama criticized him in the end. But Lord Krishna heard it all, tolerated it all, and even didn’t reverse the curse that Gandhari gave him. Because his idea was never to live a royal life but to live the life of a common person and do justice to the world while he lived on the earth.
