Tips to get Aadhaar card for children below 5 years of age

Aadhaar card is a compulsory document for every citizen of India.

People of any age group can apply for Aadhaar card, which is a 12-digit identification number released by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

Aadhaar is mainly an identity proof of a person. In order to get Aadhaar card for children below 5 years of age, which is also called as UIDAI’s Baal Aadhaar, you need to do the following.

Baal Aadhaar is a blue-colored card for children below 5 years in India. To get the card, you need to take your child to the nearby enrollment centre of Aadhaar and complete the registration form.

You will get the card free of cost and no biometric is required for children below 5 years of age.

The number will be provided by taking the UID information of the child’s parents. You need to take along with you Parent/ guardian’s Aadhaar along with the child’s birth certificate for successful completion of the process.
