When it comes to home, children would be quite excited as their schools may ask them to rejoin physical classes. However, not all children behave the same way and are able to adapt to the situations easily. When they are unable to cope with the changes swiftly, they start throwing tantrums which makes parents a little nervous about how to deal with their lovely little ones. Here are some things you can work on as a parent to make your child throw fewer tantrums.
1) Be a supermom or super dad who comes to rescue their child to help them understand themselves well. Like in every superhero movie, there is a fictional superhero who assists the emotional one to give them a superpower to deal with life’s situations. In the same way, you can turn out to be your child’s superhero by making them read books relating to their emotions or even talking to them in general about various feelings and emotions of a human being such as hunger, sadness, happiness, and comfort level, etc.
2) Encourage your child to handle a challenging situation without being afraid or angry. Appreciate them even for their small steps while they deal with any new change in their life. It can be going to school at 7 am in the morning after two long years or it can be completing the homework on time. Make sure you help them become calmer as well as strong in a simple manner.

3) Share your fun experiences at school or college life. You can share how you were really bored when the teacher asked you to write an essay but still, you do it completely so that you can learn well. You can share how being disciplined and sincere in your studies has helped you reach this phase in your career. This will inspire your child to also follow good habits and values without throwing any tantrums.
4) Reward them when they behave without throwing many tantrums in a week or a month. See even for a child to not get angry when you don’t put their favorite channel on TV is a huge task. So, you need to teach them to adjust to different situations in life without being harsh on them. You can tell them that you will take them to their favorite mall or superhero movie if they behave well, respect others and also not become hyper if they don’t get what they want in life.
5) Share your failure stories as well. As much as you want your child to get inspired to change their aggressive or emotional behavior for their betterment, that much you need to also give them a reality check. It can happen only when you share your sob stories and tell them how you have overcome the various hurdles without losing courage and hope.
